Infonaut, a Canadian leader in healthcare information services, is pleased to announce the rollout of their Map-Based Decision Support Tool with a large client in the health sector. Infonaut managed the development of a secure web environment that enables stakeholders at multiple branch offices to visualize Ontario’s new health boundaries, existing health boundaries, and a wide variety of healthcare providers and services. Stakeholders can create dynamic maps of key health outcome metrics in local areas, and compare metrics across the province to gain a high-level understanding of geographic relationships and trends.

The Map-Based Decision Support Tool will serve as the client’s primary tool for the distribution of health information and evidence-based decision support. The tool is being heralded as a paragon of an effective application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology in the field of health.
